When we accept a client, we will not do an evaluation and then put them on a waitlist. We will not move forward with a client unless we are able to provide services within a 2-4 week period.
Once your client is assigned to a therapist, they will not be reassigned to another therapist. We have found this population does best with consistency in providers. High turn over impedes client trust and progress.
Your clients will be seen by the SLP. If an SLP-Assistant does get assigned to one of your clients, you will not pay the same price for the session. If an SLP-Assistant completes the session, we will bill a lower service charge.
You will be alerted when/if services switch from the SLP to SLP-Assistant.
Everyone does better with tasks that they are interested in. We do our best to include the client's interests and make our therapy functional for them.
By integrating their interests, we find the client has more enjoyment and faster progress in therapy.
We have completed dozens of state applications for AAC devices and accessories. When state resources are utilized- this is no cost to the agency or to the family.
Most recently, we have obtained an AAC user a communication device, cell phone, and accessories so they could call/text their friends and family as well as control devices in their environment (TV, fans, etc).
One of our ways to success with this population is providing short homework assignments to complete between sessions.
We will train the client and family/staff to complete activities outside of therapy.
